1933 Aug Shinko Jinken Co., Ltd. established
1934 Dec Succeeded in the first spinning of rayon staple (production terminated in Dec. 1978)
1935 Jun Construction of Otake Plant (now Otake Production Center) completed
1942 Oct Shinko Jinken Co., Ltd. absorbed by Nippon Chemical Industries Co., Ltd.
1943 Oct Production of MMA monomer started
Nov Production of SHINKOLITE-A MMA acrylic sheet started; acrylic resin business started
1944 May Nippon Chemical Industries Co., Ltd. merged with Asahi Glass Co., Ltd. and renamed Mitsubishi Chemical Industries Co., Ltd.
1950 Jun Shinko Rayon Co., Ltd. established as a result of breakup of Mitsubishi Chemical Industries Co., Ltd., which was split up into Nippon Chemical Industries Co., Ltd., Asahi Glass Co., Ltd. and Shinko Rayon Co., Ltd.
