Mitsubishi Rayon Co., Ltd. hereby notifies users of its products that the price of DIANAL acrylic resin for paints and inks in the Japanese market will be raised by 10% or more, effective October 1.
Accompanying the recent steep rise in crude oil and naphtha, prices of petrochemical raw materials, fuel, and packaging materials, as well as distribution costs have also increased, hurting the profitability of our DIANAL operations. Moreover, raw materials prices are expected to continue rising from October onward.
Mitsubishi Rayon has made concerted efforts to achieve the rationalization of operations. However, the recent price increases exceed the limits that we can absorb.
Against this backdrop, we find it necessary to raise the sales price of DIANAL in order to ensure our ability to continue procuring raw materials and supplying this product to our users. |
