Suzhou MRC Opto-Device Co., Ltd., a member of the Mitsubishi Rayon Group, has relocated to the new place to expand its size and capacity. New location is in Mudu Town, in the Wuzhong District next to the New District, where the former plant was located, also in Suzhou. An opening ceremony was successfully held on July 30th to mark the commencement of commercial operations at the new address.
By the expansion of the plant, the
production capacity of rod lens arrays for image scanning device
in multi-function printers has been increased by approximately 60%, and production is
smoothly in operation now. A further expansion of
the capacity is presently scheduled in
the spring of 2009 to deal with projected growth of the market demand.
The company also began production of DIAART, prism sheets for LCDs, so as to expand its lineup of optical products for Chinese market.
The ceremony was held at the company's new address, with around 100 participants
including invited guests such as the Communist Party Secretary and civil authorities of Wuzhong District. Although the day
was very windy because of an approaching typhoon, we are sure all the participants saw this as a good omen for the company, as
the Chinese proverb says that wealth is blown in by the wind.
