Features of GeonpalTM
Mitsubishi Rayon's GenopalTM
is a commercially-produced, fibrous DNA chip manufactured with
the company's unique hollow fiber block slicing method. It is
suitable for users who use large quantities of chips. Mitsubishi
Rayon offers a stable mass-production chip that is reasonably
priced. |

 |
High-Reproducibility
When comparing the data from multiple chips, GenopalTM
provides highly reliable data. To confirm data reproducibility
among multiple DNA chips, equal quantities of the same sample
were hybridized in duplicate to GenopalTM, and their
fluorescent intensities were measured. For each gene, the fluorescent
intensity from one DNA chip is plotted on the horizontal axis
and the other plotted on the vertical axis (Figure 1). The correlation
coefficient demonstrates an excellent reproducibility with GenopalTM.

High-Sensitivity Each
spot in GenopalTM has a thick 3D structure, inside
of which the DNA probe is fixed at the end of it, providing
the probe a certain degree of freedom. Consequently, hybridization
is more effective, with a high degree of sensitivity. The high
sensitivity allows you to detect genes even with limited samples. |

 |
High-Reliability
By utilizing 3D space and recognizing the accurate position
and size of the spots with the specially designed analyzer,
GenopalTM achieves only minute fluctuations in data.
To confirm the reliability of gene expression analysis, reference
samples spiked with a known quantity ofpoly A+RNA were hybridized
to GenopalTM and their fluorescent intensities were
measured.@A 1.5-fold difference was detected as little as 10
pg.
